The nonprofit Bucksport Bay Healthy Communities Coalition hired me to update its identity—the group’s previous logo contained too much text. My inspiration for the logo came from nearby Penobscot Bay and the sun symbolizing a new day. I used simple home and building shapes in front of the sun, representing all places people can live and work. The board approved this logo currently used in their online and print marketing.
Maine quilt shop owners do an event each fall. This event needed a logo, and they asked me for logo development. My inspiration for the logo came from the zigzag stitch from sewing machines that could represent mountains. So, I used a dashed line to create mountains, foothills, and waves. I added dusty primary colors to depict autumn leaves. The client has approved this logo, currently used in their online and print marketing for two seasons.
This logo is for the North Conway based agency Corporate Communications. Their Ale Trail brochure and Web site Changed to the Beer and Wine Trail. We created the beer glass caricature a few years ago and since then the wineries wanted to get on the trail, so they added the wine glass.
